Our patterns
How do I get my PDF pattern?
As soon as you've paid, we email you a link to download your pattern. If it hasn't arrived within a few minutes, have a look in your spam or junk folder. If it's still not there, email us and we'll sort it out.
How do I print a PDF pattern?
Our templates are full size on A4 paper, so there's no enlarging and no sticking big sheets together. When you print, choose "Actual size" or "100%" rather than "Fit to page", so the pieces come out the right size.
What do I get with a printed pattern?
The same full-colour, step-by-step instructions and full-size templates as the PDF, printed and posted to you.
What seam allowance do you use?
Our patterns use a ¼" (6mm) seam allowance, unless the pattern says otherwise.
Is there a video to help me?
Nearly all of our patterns have a free step-by-step video on our YouTube channel, and you'll find the link on the pattern's page. You can also ask questions and share what you've made in our friendly Facebook group.
Can I sell the things I make from your patterns?
Yes, you're very welcome to sell the items you make. Please don't copy, share or resell the pattern itself, whether for money or for free.
Orders and delivery
When will my printed pattern or kit arrive?
We post orders within 1 to 2 working days by Royal Mail tracked, and they usually arrive 2 to 3 working days after that. Standard delivery is free on orders over £25, and our sewing kits come with free 48-hour tracked delivery.
Refunds and returns
Can I get a refund on a PDF pattern?
Because PDF patterns are sent to you straight away and can't be taken back, we can't refund them once they've been sent. If your file is faulty or won't open, email us within 60 days and we'll fix the problem or give you a refund.
Can I return a printed pattern or kit?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving it, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging. Please email us first to start your return. Full details are in our Return & Refund Policy.
How long are gift certificates valid?
All our gift certificates and workshop vouchers are valid for 12 months.
VIP Club
What do I get as a VIP?
A free pattern of your choice every month, extra free patterns at Christmas, Easter and on your birthday, half price on patterns, 10% off kits and early access to special offers. You can choose the PDF club for £5 a month or the Printed club for £8 a month.
How do I get my VIP discount?
Just log in to your account before you shop. Your discount is applied automatically, so there's no code to remember. If it doesn't show, log out and log back in again.
How do I choose my free pattern?
Each time your membership renews, we'll get in touch to ask which free pattern you'd like. Please let us know your birth month so we can send your free birthday pattern too.
How do I cancel my VIP membership?
Email us at admin@happydayssewing.co.uk and we'll cancel it for you.
Sewing workshops
Where are the workshops?
At our studio: Studio 111D, The Studios, Mansell Road, Wellington, Telford TF1 1QQ.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Sewing machines, fabric, thread and everything else are provided, and you take your pattern home with you.
How big are the classes?
Small: a maximum of 6 people, so there's always help on hand.
Who are the workshops for?
Our 2-hour and 3-hour workshops are for adults and older teens (16+). Little Bobbins is for children aged 7 to 15, and our Home Ed workshops are for home-educated children aged 8 and over. Children under 8 need a parent or carer to stay with them for the whole session.
Do you reward regular workshop customers?
Yes. Returning customers get 10% off workshop bookings automatically, and on our adult workshops, when you've come to five classes your sixth is free.
