Sew a clip-on dog walking bag — with the SVG cutting file for your Cricut included

GILBERT clips straight onto a lead, a belt loop or a bag strap using a lobster clasp on a folded fabric tab, so everything you need on a walk goes with you and your hands stay free.

The front pocket has a 25mm grommet set into it, so a roll of poop bags sits inside and you pull them out one at a time through the eyelet. A magnetic clasp keeps that pocket shut, and a second magnetic clasp closes the main compartment, where your phone, keys and treats live.

What you'll learn

  • Setting a 25mm grommet into the front pocket
  • Fitting two sets of magnetic fasteners — one on the pocket, one on the main compartment
  • Making the folded fabric tab that carries the lobster clasp
  • Interfacing and lining a small bag so it holds its shape

Finished size

Approximately 12cm wide x 19cm high

What you'll need

1 fat quarter of main fabric, 1 fat quarter of contrasting fabric for the pocket, lining fabric, iron-on medium interfacing, one 25mm (1") grommet, two sets of magnetic fasteners, and a lobster clasp with a ring. Seam allowance is ¼" throughout.
