Sew hanging storage pods to organise any room — two sizes included

HALIFAX pods hang from a hook or a rail and hold all the small things that never have a home: craft supplies, bathroom bits, nursery odds and ends, even a trailing plant. The back is taller than the front so the pod tips open towards you and everything stays easy to reach. Two sizes are included, so you can make a set.

What you'll learn

  • Making the folded hanging tab
  • Boxing the corners so each pod sits square and holds its shape
  • Building the outer and lining and joining them at the top
  • Turning through a gap in the lining and topstitching the rim

Finished sizes

  • Large: 12cm wide x 9cm front to back, 10cm high at the front rising to 18cm at the back
  • Small: 10cm wide x 7cm front to back, 8cm high at the front rising to 16cm at the back

What you'll need (per pod)

A fat quarter of medium weight fabric for the outer, a fat quarter for the lining, a small piece for the tab, and optional fusible interfacing. Seam allowance is ¼".
